The Chevrolet Equinox | Chicago Chevrolet Dealer

The Equinox was the first crossover SUV released by Chevrolet and made a splashing debut in the 2005 model year.  Replacing the Chevy Tracker, the Equinox was a perfect bridge between the passenger sedan and a full-size SUV, and it achieved veritable rookie-of-the-year status right off the bat.

The Equinox screams versatility both inside and out.  The exterior has the commanding prowess of an SUV, but the vehicle handles with the precision and agility of a smaller car.  The first generation engine was a powerful 3.4L V-6 rated at 185 horsepower and 210 lb.-ft. of torque with excellent acceleration, with the revamped 2010 model having a 2.4L I4 base engine with 3.0L V6 option available.  Yet despite all this power, the Equinox still provides a quiet ride and great fuel economy for its class, with current models achieving 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.

The visual appeal and luxury accessories of the Equinox go well beyond what its modest price tag would suggest.  The body design is sleek and sophisticated, providing a ride that's both stylish and aerodynamic.  Inside, the folding and sliding seats provide many options for both passenger comfort and cargo storage.  The Equinox also has an extensive array of standard comfort and convenience features, along with optional luxuries like heated seats, leather trim, XM Radio, OnStar, power sunroof and many more.  The 2010 redesign offered updated interiors and three trim levels.

If safety is your concern, the Equinox comes out on top with its quadruple five-star government ratings for frontal and side impacts.  Complementing its strong safety cage construction are dual-stage frontal air bags and safety belt pretensioners, along with rear seats equipped with the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system anchors for child safety seats.  Other advanced safety options include the OnStar system and Stabili-Trak electronic stability control.

Yelp review by Alicia F. from Chicago, IL:  I just purchased my first car from Rogers Auto Group. Kevin Benavides was my sales representative and he definitely worked hard to make me happy. I was looking for a 2012 Chevy Equinox with just a navigation system. Unless I wanted to build my own car, this was nearly impossible to find. Kevin searched for days to find a car that I would be happy with and was successful in finding a car I would be willing to pay for. He definitely went the extra mile to make sure I got the car I wanted at the price I could afford and that I was happy with my purchase. I would recommend anyone looking for a car to go to Rogers Auto Group and see Kevin Benavides in helping them purchase their new car.

Also, I've read so many negative reviews about Rogers Auto Group and I must say my experience was nothing but positive. As I previously said, Kevin went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase. He even dealt with my annoying questions and resistance with a smile and jokes. He checked in with me multiple times while I waited for finance and made sure I had no questions before leaving the dealership. Before I left with my new Chevy Equinox, Kevin made sure it was washed and filled with a full tank of gas. Thank you Rogers Auto Group, especially Kevin Benavides for making my first purchase of a car as easy as it could be!
