The Chevrolet HHR | Chicago Chevrolet Dealer

The Chevrolet HHR was first launched at the 2005 Los Angeles Auto Show and made available to the public for the 2006 model year. Its acronym meaning "Heritage High Roof," this retro-styled station wagon had remarkably high head room as well as ample leg room and the highest cargo capacity in its class.  The HHR's unique design was inspired by the 1949 Chevrolet Suburban, with large, square fender flares and a hemispherical grille, and not surprisingly, one of its chief designers was formerly a Chrysler employee who headed up the design team for the PT Cruiser.

In the 2007 model year, the HHR was offered in four trim levels: LS, LT, 2LT, and Special Edition. This year also marked the release of the HHR Panel, a more business-minded version which had a rear windowless body style and eliminated the rear seats for more cargo capacity.  In 2008, Chevrolet revealed the HHR SS Turbocharged, featuring a more powerful engine, manual transmission, and aggressive, stylish features on both the inside and out.  A 2009 modification offered a greener and more fuel efficient option which ran on E85 ethanol-blended fuel.

The Chevrolet HHR remains a solid choice for drivers looking for comfort and cargo capacity, along with a unique retro body design that turns heads.
