2010 HYUNDAI GENESIS | 2010 TUCSON | AUTOPACIFIC VEHICLE SATISFACTION AWARDS

The all new 2010 Hyundai Tucson crossover and Hyundai Genesis sedan won the AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Award in their category. The Hyundai Genesis was honored the "Aspirational Luxury Car Class" which includes powerful competitors from brands like Mercedes, BMW and Lexus. The new 2010 Tucson, which launched late last year, earned top honors in the "Compact Crossover SUV Class."

AutoPacific's Vehicle Satisfaction Award measures how satisfied an owner is with his/her new car or light truck. This study by the Southern California-based automotive research firm summarizes the results of over 42,000 new vehicle owners.

"Hyundai is revamping its entire fleet with exciting products like Genesis and Tucson leading a wave of new model introductions from Hyundai and customers are taking notice," said Scott Margason, director of product planning, Hyundai Motor America. "The AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards are an important indicator that we've hit the mark when it comes to pleasing our buyers - a very encouraging sign as we bring new models like the all-new 2011 Sonata to market this year, and prepare for more to come."

The 2010 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards are based on scores from results of AutoPacific's national Vehicle Satisfaction Survey. Respondents to this survey are owners of the new 2010 model year cars and trucks. Respondents rate 48 attributes for importance in the purchase decision and satisfaction after purchase.

"Vehicles that score highest in the Vehicle Satisfaction Awards are delivering value and satisfaction across a wide range of attributes," said George Peterson, president of AutoPacific. "The winners perform well in 48 separate categories that objectively measure the ownership experience."
