Common Questions about Bad Credit Auto Financing

Can I finance a car if I have a bankruptcy? The answer is a definite YES. Bankruptcy is not the end of the world. You can definitely buy a car after your Bankruptcy. One of the best ways to restore your credit is an auto loan. There are more and more loan companies that have new programs to help finance people with bad credit. An auto loan is acquired easier than a personal loan or an unsecured loan because the lender can use the car as collateral against the loan, in case the borrower ever defaults or doesn't make the loan payments.

Can I finance a car if my credit score is below 500? Some sub-prime lenders will accept credit scores below 500. These new bank programs look more at the person looking for the loan as opposed solely to a credit score. Things like job and residence stability will play a factor in gaining an approval.

Can I finance a car if I had a Repossession? Although a car repossession can damage your credit score, finance companies have programs tailored for your situation. Finance companies understand that non-payment is not always your fault. They understand issues like job loss, mechanical failures and non-payment from an insurance loss.

How can I Get an Auto Loan during the Credit Crunch? You want to buy a new vehicle. You've determined that you can handle the monthly payments because your job and personal finances are going to be OK. But one concern is holding you back: Can you really get the auto loan you need to complete a purchase? The answer is an enthusiastic "Yes!"

I was reluctant to go to yet another dealership, but a friend of mine told me that Rogers worked hard to get customers financed. So against my better judgement after being turned away twice. My sales rep was patient and explained all of my options, whereas the other dealerships were discouraged because of my credit!  I was approved in 1.5 hrs!!!!! =)  Thank you Ramses and all the people at Rogers who helped to get me financed!!!!! I will pass on recommendation to my friends and family

I had an outstanding experience with my sales person John Shultz and the Finance person Adam Sanchez. Let's just say my credit is less than perfect. They both worked overtime to get me in the car I wanted for a reasonable payment knowing my circumstances. I got a 2010 Buick Lacrosse and i love it. Don't let your credit score deter you. Deal with these guys.

I was paying too much for a 2004 Nissan Altima that I financed with a car outlet. That was the biggest mistake I made.  My payments were $450 a month and my interest was 21%.  A friend of mine told me I was paying too much a month for a 2004 when I could be paying that for a brand new car. She told me go to any new car dealership of my choice and pick a car and see if they can help you get financed.  It wont hurt to try so I did.  I came to Rogers Auto Group and was approached by a salesman named Daniel Nino.  I told him my problem and we took care of it. He showed me a 2012 Malibu and told me "Lets go for a test drive!" I fell in love with the car.  He said, "Let's see if we can get you approved."  I said ok but I told him that I know I won't get approved because my credit is a little bad.  He said to remember what your friend told you; it doesn't hurt to try.  So he checked and told me good news:  I was approved!  All I needed was to put $1500 down and my interest was at 4%.  I was so happy.  My first brand new car.  I have to thank Danny for helping me out, and thank you Rogers Auto Group.  I never thought I was gonna leave with a car but I did.  I'm going to recommend my family and friends to Rogers Auto Group, and I'm also coming back to them.

"I applied online through the Lending Tree website. I then immediately received notices from three different car dealers. I won't mention the other 2, but the others mentioned all the same things I heard before. 'Come in, no money down - You're pre-approved'. I heard all this before since I purchased plenty of cars with bad credit. The guys at Rogers were actually able to tell me what I qualified for, what documents I actually needed before driving down there. They gave me a plan so I knew what to look forward to when I came in. Honestly, I didn't expect that service. I recently went through a foreclosure and I thought I would pay a higher interest rate, but with a little explanation of the mortgage situation and the future plans of the home were all I needed to secure a loan. My interest rate is not as high as I expected knowing my low credit score and that I have financed cars in the past. I was able to drive out with my brand New Chevy Equinox without having to wait there all day"

"Rogers was the fourth dealer in two months that I visited in Chicago. Since my credit is really bad, I knew it wasn't a good idea to constantly run my credit report. I had pretty much given up until my aunt suggested to go to Rogers on Michigan Ave. She bought a couple cars from them. I looked at their inventory online and they had the Dodge Charger I was looking for in stock. I was in need of a vehicle. They were able to help her with bad credit, so I gave them a call. I ended up buying the Charger with $1000 down on my own, no cosigner. Thanks to Rogers, I will be back to buy another car with re-established credit and hopefully a paid off Charger"

"I have bad credit. I had a Chapter 7 four years ago and I am currently in a Chapter 13. I needed to get a car because the one I have is starting to fail on me. I spoke with Maria, one of the Special Finance Representatives and she was very helpful. She explained how I could get a car loan and walked me through the process. I was not able to get the car right away because of the Chapter 13, but I was in a dependable used car with a warranty within 2 weeks"
